Be A Booster! Join the YHS High School Music Boosters!
We are excited to start another year of outstanding performances by our award winning ensembles! We would like to welcome all new and returning music students and their families to YHS. Our music program is successful because of the hard work of our students, teaching staff, community members, and the various families that volunteer in this program. Maintaining a high-quality music program requires a great number of “behind-the-scene” workers to support the students and staff.
We invite all families to participate in any number of ways to help our program:
- Be our audience! Students love to have the support from their friends and family.
- Support and encourage your student to fully participate, and practice!
- Volunteer!
Volunteer opportunities include:
Please join our monthly Music Booster meetings, held on the first Monday of the month at 6pm in the choir room. All parents are welcome! This is a great way to be involved and keep up with your student’s music activities.

- Serving as an usher at concerts
- Baking snacks for sale during concert intermissions
- Helping students with fundraising
- Working the parking lot and feeding musicians before football games
- Helping to organize any field trips
- Helping to organize and facilitate other events throughout the school year
- And more!! More help and involvement is always appreciated!
